Caspase-14 and epidermis maturation

Abstract
The identification of caspases at the end of the 20th century obliged biologists to radically change their view of programmed cell death. The main players in the apoptosis revolution — caspases, Bcl2 and death receptors — have led to potential therapeutic interventions currently in clinical trials for the treatment of cancer, as well as in other clinical settings.
