Kinesin-8s: motoring and depolymerizing

The kinesin superfamily consists of microtubule-dependent ATPases that function in a vast array of cellular processes. They have been grouped phylogenetically into 14 subfamilies based on the sequence of their conserved ATPase and microtubule-binding motor domain.
