Separating sisters
Abstract
Successful cell division depends on the accurate segregation of sister chromatids into daughter cells. It is equally important that chromatids do not separate before the metaphase–anaphase transition, and this is controlled by the presence of the cohesin protein complex that links the chromatids together.
