Rac and cell migration: CDM proteins integrate signals

Pugilists and migrating cells face the same challenge: each must consistently apply force in the right direction, and in just the right place. Migrating fibroblasts, leukocytes, or axonal growth cones apply force to push a specified region of the cell surface forwards in a particular direction.
