Pars and polarity: taking control of Rac

Cell polarization is the inherent ability of certain cell types to create morphological asymmetry in response to intra- and extracellular cues. It has become clear from many studies in both vertebrate and invertebrate systems that cell polarity is controlled by a conserved set of polarity proteins.
