Apoptosis: eating sensibly

Over the past several years, a growing number of cell biologists have become fascinated with apoptosis, a form of programmed cell death, and it is now widely accepted that this physiological cell death is a fundamental feature of life in multicellular organisms. With the dawning of the 'age of apoptosis', substantial progress has been made in understanding the molecular cell biological mechanisms that underlie the initiation, execution and regulation of this cell death programme.
