Drosophila G-protein signalling: intricate roles for Ric-8?
Abstract
The generation of cell diversity relies heavily on asymmetric cell division, in which cell-fate determinants often cluster at specific locations — frequently at opposite poles of the parent cell. When the cell divides, its daughters inherit different sets of fate determinants and go on to adopt their respective identities.
