Actin puts on the squeeze

Achieving membrane homeostasis is a major challenge for any cell engaged in stimulated exocytosis. In many secretory cells, a burst of exocytosis is followed by endocytosis to retrieve vesicle membrane, proteins and residual secretory vesicle contents.
