Abstract
The Dvl protein is an essential component of a ubiquitous cell communication system, the Wnt–Frizzled (Fz) pathway, which is used to regulate morphogenetic events, transcription, and ultimately, cell-fate decisions. Dvl is also an essential regulator of planar cell polarity (PCP) and can control morphological changes within the plane of epithelial tissues.
