A reader for centromeric chromatin

Nikolina Sekulic & Ben E. Black

Centromeres are defined epigenetically, and nucleosomes containing the histone H3 variant CENP-A are thought to provide the epigenetic information required to specify centromere location on the chromosome. As for other chromatin marks, it is important to understand how the epigenetic information is physically transmitted from the chromatin.
