Abstract
Control of translation and mRNA degradation is an important aspect of gene expression. Two conserved cytoplasmic mRNA-containing ribonucleoprotein (mRNP) granules, stress granules and processing (P) bodies, have been implicated in translational control and mRNA degradation.
