Doing better at doing good
Abstract
There was a time when the biotech industry was viewed as completely disinterested in the neglected diseases of the world's one billion poor. After all, most biotech firms find it difficult enough just to stay in the business for diseases that dominate health budgets in developed countries, where research is heavily funded and where patients and medical experience are local.
