Priced out of the UK market
Abstract
As health budgets worldwide tighten, the drug industry is under pressure to make a greater investment in the economic analysis of its products. Leading this movement is the UK government drug watchdog, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), based in London, which is calling for cost-effectiveness data from manufacturers and has agreed to several novel risk-sharing pricing deals.
