PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:   
•	Responsible for identifying comprehensive EOR strategies to help achieve product strategic targets and objectives 
•	Developing global Health Outcome plans for product/disease area, aligned to global commercial strategy in order to help secure reimbursement, market access/formulary listing and promotion, and optimal pricing globally
•	Responsible for designing EOR non-interventional studies, in collaboration with and within the GPSTs 
•	Responsible for the execution of such studies working with clinical teams
•	Responsible for contributing EOR components to clinical studies 
•	Responsible for development and validation of Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) instruments in support of GPSTs to fulfill regulatory and marketing needs
•	Internal and external spokesperson and technical expert on EOR 
•	Present Epidemiology & Health Outcomes data and evidence to regulatory agencies and advisors/opinion leaders
•	Leading health economics modeling and simulations activities 
•	Support the Clinical Research Departments and Product safety Department in clinical trial planning, creation and conduct of risk management strategies utilizing Epidemiology research techniques
•	Provides Epidemiology and Health Outcomes research expertise during due diligence
•	Setting goals, supervising, and evaluating performance of staff as well as planning growth of personnel

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
•	Ph.D or Pharm.D with a masters in epidemiology or health economics, or MD with a MPH in epidemiology
•	Solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry, CRO health-related consulting company, or academia, directly relevant to the responsibilities of the position are required
•	Ability to follow scientific arguments, identify EOR scientific data needs and solve EOR issues as required
•	Excellent qualitative and quantitative Epidemiological and/or Health Outcomes skills 
•	Familiarity with SAS or similar software for data manipulation and data tabulation

PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
•	Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills 
•	Ability to work independently as well as in a team, and to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines are also essential
•	Excellent scientific writing, technical skills

JOB ROLE:  The purpose of this position is to provide pharmaco (epidemiologic) research to support product and project teams to enable them have access to up to date and state-of-the-art Epidemiologic data to facilitate informed decision making and meeting of strategic objectives.  

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:   
•	Generating project relevant epidemiologic data including incidence and prevalence estimates for specific target populations, disease segmentation and co-morbidities, burden of illness and treatment outcomes 
•	Responsible for identifying epidemiologic datasources relevant for comprehensive epidemiologic strategies to help achieve product strategic targets and objectives Responsible for designing EOR (Epidemiology and Outcomes Research) non-interventional studies, in close collaboration with product and project teams

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:   
•	Reviewing medical content, coding, expectedness, company seriousness and causality and to provide final follow-up requirements for individual local case reports
•	Performing medical review and assess local expectedness for foreign case reports
•	Writing and/or review of case narratives for submission documents
•	Participate in review and sign off of coding from clinical databases
•	Review and resolution of reconciliation issues with regard to MedDRA coding
•	Perform activities required to serve as regional PV physician
•	Contribute to preparation and review of periodic reports 
•	Participate in the analysis of safety data as it applies to proposed label changes
•	Participate in review of safety data for in-licensed compounds
•	Assisting Legal in review of medical complaints against products
•	Maintaining professional knowledge and accreditation by active participation in continuing medical education activities

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
•	Qualified physician, medical degree
•	Clinical experience with patients following post-graduate training with significant knowledge of general medicine
•	Clinical research and/or industry experience in Safety or in Clinical Development is preferred
•	Knowledge of principles of epidemiology and statistics desired

•	IT literate

    <![CDATA[Our client; a major pharmaceutical company is currently seeking a Clinical Statistician to join their offices based in the South East of England for a 6 month contract. There is potential for a 6 month extension in this contract that will specialize in early clinical development. This role has the flexibility to allow candidates to work from home 1-2 days per week.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:   
•	Providing statistical input to the design of studies 
•	Write and review the statistical section of the protocol 
•	Write the statistical analysis plan and arrange the project team review of the plan
•	Working with the Clinical Programmer on the data analysis for the study report, following the statistical analysis plan 
•	Review the programming plan and list of tables and conduct further exploratory analyses unaided
•	Writing Top Line Reports on the key efficacy and safety results to give a rapid read out after database lock
•	Working with the medical writer on the statistical text for the study report
•	Provide general statistical consultancy support to the company’s clinical team, particularly on study design and interpretation of results
•	Represent clinical statistics at various technical meetings and present work to small groups
•	Supporting other statisticians working on pre-clinical studies as required

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
•	Experience of clinical studies is essential - Phases 1 and 2 desirable 
•	Pre-clinical experience would also be an advantage
