    <![CDATA[A newly established Program in Molecular Oncology in the DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery, Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, currently seeks Applicants for tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. 

Successful candidates will develop an independent research program focusing on any area of cancer biology that synergizes with the ongoing efforts of the program. Areas of considerable interest to the program include, but are not limited to:  cancer stem cells, tumor microenvironment, mouse models of cancer, molecular genetics and signal transductions pathways such as Wnt, Hedgehog and Notch. 

The Program in Molecular Oncology seeks to exploit the close relationship with the Surgical Oncologists to develop an interactive program that leads to a better understanding of human cancer and the development of novel therapeutics.

The new faculty members will join an interactive, interdisciplinary community of scientists and clinicians in the Department of Surgery and the Sylvester Cancer Center. The Department of Surgery offers newly remodeled laboratory space and outstanding basic and translational research environment. Faculty will also be eligible to join a basic science department and graduate programs as well as the MD/PhD training program at the medical school.
