Technical Specialist – Fisheries, Recreation and Biodiversity

Canterbury, Kent

£23,800 – £27,000

Do you have the drive and enthusiasm to take a leading role in implementing our biodiversity remit in East Kent? We are looking for a Technical Specialist to focus on biodiversity issues in the area providing support, expert opinion and advice to our stakeholders and other teams on technical and strategic issues.

You should have a degree or equivalent in a scientific or environmental discipline, and will have gained experience from working in a relevant field of work. A thorough knowledge of environmental and conservation issues and environmental legislation is expected as well as your ability to make technical decisions and influence and negotiate colleagues and stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and a problem solving approach is essential.
