QC Analytical Scientist

An opportunity has arisen for an Analytical Development Scientist within the QC department of a Bio Technology company in the Edinburgh Area. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate and provide a high level of technical specialist knowledge and practical experience in the development and validation of analytical methods and QC procedures. Must also be able to lead laboratory management activities including CAPEX equipment planning/procurement, ordering of lab reagents and consumables, maintaining calibration and servicing records and to demonstrate the ability to analyse, interpret and action experimental data and ensure all quality standards are met and maintained and to establish a positive relationship with the client and staff to ensure that projects run smoothly.
Educated to BSc level (or equivalent) with proven experience in Analytical Development with emphasis on Method Validation Processing. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in protein purification development, scale up and developing/performing protein analytical assays i.e. SDS PAGE/ELISA/HPLC would be an advantage as would experience of equipment validation. This is an excellent opportunity for self-motivated and conscientious team player. Working 37.5 hours Monday – Friday.
