Description

The Mucosal Immunity Laboratory, affiliated with the faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne, specializes in innate immunity and epithelial biology. The major focus of research is to elucidate the expression and function of endogenous, antiinflammatory molecules including antimicrobial peptides with a view to developing therapeutics. We also investigate signaling pathways activated by pathogenic and commensal bacteria and bacterial molecules in mucosal epithelial cells.

We are seeking an outstanding postdoctoral fellow to perform reseach in these areas.

Candidates should have:

a PhD or MD PhD

expertise in molecular biology and bioinformatics

the ability to develop research ideas, the successful individual will be encouraged to apply for his/her own fellowship

a keen interest in mucosal immunity and intracellular signaling

strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

Experience in proteomics and/or knowledge of post translational modifications is desireable.
