Description

Invitrogen is a billion dollar company designing, manufacturing and supplying biomedical products to the rapidly expanding biotechnology business. For laboratories, educational establishments and health companies across the globe, our products are at the very heart of their research.

Our products have been instrumental in the discovery of the AIDS virus, mapping the human genome and advancements in the treatment of cancer. And, as long as there are more discoveries to be made, our clients will rely on us as partners in research. As we look to build on success and continue to grow, we’re adding to our European Sales, Marketing & Technical Service Team.

Handling a range of enquiries from either our German- or Italian-speaking client base, you’ll provide vital advice and support before and after sales, while also supporting field sales colleagues. You’ll analyse and summarise current trends and technology, as well as recommending changes to database records, our website and other company-managed sources of technical information. Playing a key role in sharing knowledge and expertise, you’ll play a role in training other areas of the business, while occasionally attending presenting information at trade shows and assisting customers in the field with troubleshooting and problem solving.

You should have a degree in molecular biology, or similar, although a Ph.D. or M.S. would be a distinct advantage. It’s vital that you’re fluent in German/Italian, while you should have the communication skills – both written and oral – to work effectively with clients and colleagues alike. It’s also essential that you’re able to learn complex information quickly, making the most of the ongoing technical training that we’ll provide.

Ours is an organisation that truly recognises contribution, performance and achievement – and we offer the rewards to prove it. As well as an attractive salary and a range of benefits, our package includes a fantastic incentive scheme. We’re also dedicated to our people’s progression – with a range of training and development opportunities tailor-made to bring out the best in you.
