£26,666 – £31,840 (subject to a 3% increase in August 2007)

A highly motivated individual, you will be a key part of a team studying the function of macrophages during helminth infection. Specifically, the projects will involve investigation of the regulatory vs. effector functions of alternatively-activated macrophages as well as their potential role in repair of tissue damage caused by helminth parasites. A PhD with experience in cellular immunology and cytokine biology is required. Familiarity with macrophage biology, experimental models of helminth infection or wound repair would be an advantage.

This post is fixed–term for up to 60 months.
