    <![CDATA[Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Delaware State University seeks applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Mathematics. The applicant must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Ph.D. in Mathematics Education with a MS in Mathematics.  The main responsibilities for the Visiting Assistant Professor are to teach entry level mathematics courses equivalent to12 hours per semester, mentor students, and serve on Departmental committees. The position is renewable up to three years.
		
The Department offers undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Mathematics with Computer Science, and Mathematics Education; masters degrees in Mathematics and Mathematics Education; and PhD in Interdisciplinary Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics.  Delaware State University (DSU), a historically black school which now has a diversified faculty and student body, has a student population of approximately 3,600 undergraduate and graduate students. DSU is located in Dover, Delaware and has campuses in Wilmington, Delaware and Georgetown, Delaware.

1.	Evidence of the ability to effectively teach students of varying abilities
2.	Effective communication skills
3.	Ability to cope with student diversity
