A full-time post-doctoral position funded for two years is available in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The project objectives are to undertake high-throughput mRNA and microRNA expression profiling of clinically annotated breast cancer samples. The purpose of this study will be to validate preliminary findings and identify novel biomarkers correlating with disease progression in order to improve healthcare of patients with breast cancer. The candidate will use state-of-the-art technologies in the fields of RNA, microarray, and mass-sequencing research and will be provided with professional and technical training. The laboratory is specialized in the use and design of novel molecular techniques and development of mass-sequencing protocols for analysis of archived material and will benefit from a candidate with knowledge in data analysis. The candidate should be highly motivated; innovative; detail-oriented; and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills.
Job Requirements

Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
