    <![CDATA[An immediate opening is available for an experienced Molecular Virologist in the Department of Cell Biology, Lab for Membrane Transport, Harvard Medical School.  Priorities include the impact that phosphorylation of CD155 has on poliovirus infection.  The ultimate goal of this research is to identify the kinase(s) involved in the process and, ultimately, develop a new therapy to speed up the goal of WHO of eradication of the disease.
*Requirements*:  the successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant subject, along with a strong background in molecular biology.  Past experience should include (but not limited to) virology techniques such as plaque assays, virus propagation as well as cell culture skills, southern and western blotting , transfection,  PCR-based detection/quantitation of target sequences and experience in recombinant DNA methods.
