<![CDATA[Senior DMPK scientist
Central London

Cancer Research Technology (CRT) is a specialist drug discovery, technology transfer and commercialisation for-profit company which aims to advance new discoveries to beat cancer. Employing some 140 staff, including a large complement of scientists and business development specialists across seven sites in the UK, and with close partnerships working with associated operations in the USA and Australia, CRT is wholly owned by the charity Cancer Research UK.

To help achieve this goal, CRT has its own laboratories, the CRT Discovery Laboratories, based in central London and Cambridge UK. The aim of these laboratories, through its multidisciplinary team of scientists, is to undertake drug discovery programmes on exciting novel cancer targets with the overall aim of developing potential small molecule and biological cancer therapies.

We now require an experienced DMPK scientist to shape and lead a small DMPK group. You should possess the following attributes:

•	A sound understanding of DMPK in the context of drug discovery
•	Consolidated hands-on experience of in vivo PK, modelling and analysis
•	Experience in drug metabolism, metabolite identification, and bioanalysis techniques, particularly HPLC-MS
•	A track record in line and/or project management

Ideally, you will have several years’ experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry and experience in leading teams and / or drug discovery programs would be beneficial. Previous experience in the field of cancer drug discovery will be viewed favourably, but is not a requirement.

In addition, you will possess excellent communication and organisation skills, and will be required to contribute positively to interactive collaborations, which take place not only within CRT, but also with Cancer Research UK laboratories and other external organisations.

To apply, please send a copy of your CV and a covering letter, quoting the reference number DMPK1109, to the Head of Functional Pharmacology by email to crtrecruitment@cancertechnology.com

Previous applicants need not apply

Closing Date: 4th December 2009.
