    <![CDATA[FUNDED POSTDOCTORAL/RESEARCH SCIENTIST POSITION in Neuroscience is immediately available for an enthusiastic and innovative candidate at HHMI’s Janelia Farm Research Campus, in a lab that uses behavioral, anatomical and electrophysiological approaches to unravel the neural circuits underlying vocal communication in mice.  The project, a collaboration with Christine Portfors (Washington State University, Vancouver), involves development of wireless electrophysiological recording from inferior collicular neurons during normal social behavior.

Experience with extracellular electrophysiology is required.  Preference will be given to applicants with experience in auditory neurophysiolgy, wireless recording, and/or natural animal behavior.  Qualified applicants are expected to hold a doctoral degree in life sciences, physics, or biomedical engineering and be prepared to take advantage of the extremely collaborative environment at Janelia Farm.  The position includes a competitive salary and funds to support research and travel.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
