The *Medical Faculty Mannheim of the University of Heidelberg* invites applications for the position of a

*Professor of Cardiovascular Pharmacology*

(Salary Group W3 BBesG)

The position involves both research and teaching responsibilities. The successful applicant will head a research group in the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology (acting director: Prof. Dr. T. Wieland).

Applicants should be internationally established researchers with a broad methodological spectrum and outstanding knowledge of cardiovascular pharmacology. The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record in the analysis of molecular mechanisms of signal transduction in the cardiovascular system and the use of transgenic animal models. She/He has been successfully obtained extramural funding and is expected to cooperate closely with the other clinical departments, institutes, and research institutions within the research focus 'Vascular Medicine' of the Medical Faculty Mannheim. In addition, applicants should be experienced in teaching Pharmacology and Toxicology and be highly committed to support the novel medical degree program MaReCum.
