The Medical Faculty of the Westfalian Wilhelms-University (Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Muenster) invites applications for a tenured position as

*University Professor (W3) for Medical Psychology and Systems Neuroscience*

The successful candidate will be head of the Institute of Medical Psychology and Systems Neuroscience and will cover the entire subject with respect to research and teaching.

The position is established and will be appointed in order to enhance the research in Systems Neuroscience, with particular emphasis on functional imaging approaches. Applicants must have an excellent research background in this field. The successful candidate is expected to collaborate with existing neuromedical and neuroscientific research groups at the University and to participate in established research programs, in particular the Collaborative Research Centre (Sonderforschungsbereich, SFB) TRR58 of the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft), as well as SFB 492, 629 and 656, the Interdisciplinary Clinical Research Center (Interdisziplinäres Zentrum für Klinische Forschung; IZKF), the Center for Clinical Studies (ZKS) and the Max-Planck-Institute of Molecular Biomedicine.

Prerequisites for the application are excellent scientific achievements as a junior professor, from a postdoctoral lecture qualification, as a research scientist at a school of higher education/university, at non-university institutes, industry, administration, or other fields of society within or outside Germany, as well as ample experience in student teaching.
