To support its research strategy, the Food Science & Technology Department at the NRC is seeking a:

*Food Chemist & Bioactive Specialist*

who will work within the Bioactives & Micronutrients group.

Main responsibilities:
- To manage R&D projects in the area of bioactives and micronutrients.
- To develop proprietary natural bioactives relevant to our key consumer benefit areas.
- To support projects in other NRC departments, R&D Centers as an expert in bioactives.
- To generate new ideas in the applications of bioactives and translate them into innovative concepts.

Required profile:
- PhD in chemistry, food chemistry, plant science, food science and technology.
- Experience & knowledge in bioactives chemistry, micronutrients and food processing.
- Specialisation in phytochemicals desired.
- Project management and communication skills.

Personal requirements:
- Innovative and result focused.
- Capability to conceptualize.
- Ability to interact transversally with other R&D teams.
