<![CDATA[Centre for Cooperative Research in Biomaterials (CIC biomaGUNE, San Sebastian, Spain), together with the Biotechnology Institute, S.L. (Vitoria (Álava), Spain), are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the mechanisms of implant bio-activation by the plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) with the ultimate goal of developing the next generation of PRGF technology.

We are seeking an ambitious, independent candidate whose main tasks will include developing and implementing immunoassays for various blood markers exposed at the PRGF-activated implant surfaces and investigating the effects of activation on osteoblasts in cell culture assays. Minimum requirements for this position include a Ph.D. in cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, biomaterials, or related field, at least one first author publication, and excellent oral/written English skills. Interest in biomaterials/biophysics/biosurface science areas will help the candidate integrate into the interdisciplinary environment of the research group. Experience with osteoblast cell culture, haematology, and/or immunoassay development is a plus.

CIC biomaGUNE is a non-profit research institute created to promote scientific research and technological innovation at the highest levels in the Basque Country. It boasts superb research facilities—some of the best currently available in Europe. The working language in the institute is English. Further information about the Institute can be obtained at http://www.cicbiomagune.es/index.php?idioma=en .
