    <![CDATA[*Postdoctoral position* available in the laboratory of Christian Schlieker at the Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University. 

Our laboratory applies a combination of structural, biochemical and cell biological approaches to understand the multiple roles of ubiquitin in protein quality control (Molecular Cell 36:28-38, 2009; Molecular Cell 25:677-87, 2007). 

Current projects are centered on cellular quality control mechanisms in the endoplasmic reticulum, the nuclear envelope and their relation to viral pathogenesis. Enthusiastic qualified individuals should have a strong background in cell biology or virology, with expertise in tissue culture, molecular biology, viral manipulation and microscopy.
