    <![CDATA[Our client, a premier global contract research organisation, is an international leader in the world of clinical research and currently experiencing rapid expansion throughout Europe.  They are currently seeking a Director of Business Development to join their offices based in East Anglia. There is a possibility for home working to be offered to highly experienced candidates.

JOB ROLE:  As Director of Business Development you will secure and retain business for our client through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors.  The Director will position our client as a primary or preferred provider for all clinical development work to be outsourced.  This role will liaise between sponsor and company on all business development activities and requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:   
•	Obtaining firm project/task commitments that will meet or exceed authorization targets that will be established annually by the corporation

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
•	Bachelors degree in science or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
•	Strong Business Development experience in a CRO
•	Scientific and/or sales or marketing background
•	Proven track record at mid and high level contacts, as well as formal sales training
