GASTROINTESTINAL/LIVER PATHOLOGIST/ SURGICAL PATHOLOGIST

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship trained GI pathologist. The position is at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (tenure track or clinical track) commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will provide expertise in interpretation of GI and liver biopsies and have excellent teaching skills of both medical students and residents. There are opportunities for participation in multidisciplinary research and clinical programs within the Department of Pathology and through the Department of Medicine and the transplant service of the Medical Center. The candidate should be board certified or eligible in anatomic or anatomic/clinical pathology, and qualify for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Louisiana. Participation of general surgical pathology service is expected and the relative distribution of clinical, research and teaching responsibilities will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and career goals. Adequate startup fund will be provided should the successful applicant have existing or potential for funded research.
