<![CDATA[A postdoctoral research fellow position is available immediately in bioinformatics/computational genomics to study epigenomic abnormalities in cancer in the Center for Pharmacogenomics at the Washington University School of Medicine. Our team is conducting cutting-edge research developing new experimental and computational genomic tools to understand genome-wide DNA methylation patterns in cancer.

We seek a candidate who will apply a systems approach and integrate multiple sources of new and existing genomic datasets to better understand the mechanisms of epigenetic abnormalities in cancer. The successful candidate will work closely with experimentalists and be interested both in algorithm development and in translational biomedical research.

Minimum requirements for the position include: a Ph.D. in computational biology, genomics, computer science or a related field and strong technical experience in bioinformatics/computational genomics, machine learning, data mining, and algorithm development. The applicant should have proficiency in C/C++ and a scripting language such as Perl or Python. Preferred qualifications include experience with MySQL, additional training in computational genomics or related biomedical research, familiarity with Next-Gen sequencing applications and experience with multi-dimensional genomic data analysis.

Salary is competitive and is commensurate with experience. Review of applicants will start immediately and continue until the position is filled. Applicants should email a copy of their CV along with 3 references and a cover letter detailing experience and future interests in pdf format to:
