<![CDATA[Postdoctoral position in Cancer Biology

NIH funded postdoctoral position is immediately available for highly motivated individuals seeking to build a career in cancer biology. The lab is interested in basic, mechanistic and translational research focusing on bzip transcription factor, Nrf2 that regulates several electrophile detoxification and cytoprotective genes and promotes tumorigenesis. Previous work from our lab has shown that gain of Nrf2 function in lung tumor cells, due to mutation in its inhibitor, Keap1, promotes tumor growth and confers therapeutic resistance. Primary focus of this project is to understand the novel pathways regulated by Nrf2 in cancer cells which drive lung tumorigenesis. Another focus of the project is to study the role of Nrf2 in modulating glucose flux and metabolism in cancer cells. Experience with mice xenograft models is desired. Candidates with PhD in Cancer Biology, Biochemistry and molecular biology can contact by email.

Postdoctoral Position in lung disease

The project involves the molecular mechanism of Nrf2 dependent regulation of stress response in mice disease models as well as translational aspect of targeting this transcription factor intervening diseases. Individuals with a strong background in molecular biology/biochemistry are encouraged to apply. The position is restricted to US citizens/permanent residents due to NIH training grant restriction. The candidate should have a PhD in Molecular biology/Cancer biology/biochemistry or related discipline.
