Discovery Sleep Research
Team Leader Surrey, UK

Life at Lilly
real people doing extraordinary things

This is a rare opportunity to join an industrial drug hunting team within an organisation committed to scientific and technical excellence. You will contribute to the discovery of new therapies for disorders of the nervous system, including serious conditions such as depression, schizophrenia and insomnia.

You will focus on the coordination, execution and development of pre-clinical EEG studies for the detection and characterisation of potential pharmacological therapeutics in sleep and psychiatric disorders. Key roles will be managing the efficient and optimal utilisation of a large in vivo facility focused on sleep research, in addition to working with other teams to support ongoing and development work.

You should be a biology or pharmacology graduate with a background and at least 3 years experience in laboratory-based in vivo neuroscience. The candidate should be able to demonstrate skills in supervising and coordinating in vivo studies, and an ability to integrate well with others outside their discipline. A degree of expertise in surgical procedures would be advantageous, as would experience in acquisition, and analysis of EEG.
