<br>Interested applicants must be available full-time for one year from the date of hire. &nbsp;Primary work location is at the San Diego Zoo’s Center for Conservation and Research for Endangered Species (CRES) adjacent to the Wild Animal Park. &nbsp;The successful applicant will join the Reproductive Physiology Division, and will be expected to develop semi-quantitative assays used to predict reproductive status (i.e. ovulation, pregnancy, parturition) from urine, serum or other biological samples in exotic species. &nbsp;The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field; however candidates with a Bachelors of Science and relevant laboratory experience will also be considered. &nbsp;Experience with competitive binding assays, Western blotting, immunochromatography and protein purification is highly desirable. &nbsp;The successful applicant will also possess a basic understanding of reproductive physiology and endocrinology.
