Recent genomic and functional studies have begun to shed light on the pathophysiology of autism. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss these recent advances and to explore how insights from other developmental brain disorders, such as Fragile X and Rett syndrome, can illuminate our quest to understand the biological basis of autism.
