The Genomics of Common Diseases 2016

September 25–28, 2016
Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, Baltimore, MD, USA

Nature Genetics in association with the Wellcome Genome Campus is pleased to announce the 10th anniversary conference on Genomics of Common Diseases.

High-throughput genotyping and sequencing technologies have profoundly impacted our understanding of the genetic architecture of disease. This year's conference will be an opportunity to reflect back on the past decade of genomic studies and to consider how new and emerging technologies will yield further insights into disease pathophysiology with potential for clinical impact. The meeting will feature leading examples of genetic discovery efforts for common diseases using a range of technologies and study designs. The program will also highlight approaches to characterize regulatory variation, strategic uses of experimental systems to increase mechanistic understanding of disease, and important recent efforts in clinical translation.

We welcome abstracts on the following topics:

  • Autoimmunity
  • Cancer genomics
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Clinical translation
  • Disease mechanisms
  • Evolutionary and population genetics
  • Genetic discovery
  • Genome technology
  • Metabolic disease
  • Model organisms
  • Neuropsychiatric disorders
  • Regulatory variation
