The SASS Foundation for Medical Research, Inc. was established in 1986 by Martin and Barbara Sass together with Dr. Francis P. Arena as a non-profit, non-sectarian organization dedicated to fighting cancer and related life-threatening diseases, educating physicians and the public on the newest therapies and treatments, and funding research projects aimed at combating these diseases.
The MRC Toxicology Unit is the largest academic establishment in toxicology in the UK and one of the largest in Europe. The approach to solve toxicologically relevant problems while developing new fundamental knowledge in several different research areas makes it unique in the UK. Our mission is to study and understand the fundamental mechanisms of cellular and tissue response to injury caused by drugs, chemicals and endogenous molecules.
The Rome Oncogenomic Center (ROC) is one of four Italian oncogenomic centers supported by the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC) whose purpose is to foster the application of post-genomic technologies to oncology in Italy.
The ROC Project has been designed as a multi-institution consortium of leading laboratories involved in different aspects of functional genomics and cancer research willing to devote their efforts to bridge basic discovery to translational applications and cancer patient management and care.
