        The true nature of time

Time structures our everyday lives. But to many physicists, it doesn't exist. To them, time is an illusion and the laws of nature exist outside it. Now a new book, Time Reborn by physicist Lee Smolin, calls for a rethink. Speaking to Thea Cunningham, Lee argues that time is real, and it's only once we embrace this reality that we can fully understand the world around us.
