Nature Awards for Mentoring in Science – France (2011)

For its annual awards for science mentorship in 2011, Nature invites nominations of outstanding scientific mentors in France. Two prizes of €10,000 will be awarded, one for a mid-career mentor and one for life-time achievement in mentoring.

For its annual awards for science mentorship in 2011, Nature invited nominations of outstanding scientific mentors in France. The winners were announced on 12 December 2011. The Editor-in-Chief of Nature, Dr Philip Campbell, presented the awards, each worth €10,000 (shared between the two lifetime achievement winners), at a special event in Paris.


Award Winners

Lifetime achievement award:
Jean Rossier (ESPCI ParisTech, Paris) & Moshe Yaniv (Pasteur Institute, Paris)

Mid-career achievement award:
Barbara Demeneix (UMR CNRS Evolution des Régulations Endocriniennes, Paris)
