New polio vaccines vital

By late 2003, poliomyelitis had been eliminated from all but six countries in the world as a result of the World Health Organization's eradication initiative. But a trio of workers based at the Geneva headquarters of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative point out in a Commentary that without new vaccines, the goal of global eradication may be unattainable.
