In that spirit, the individuality of scientists can be measured and hopefully
enjoyed in a new series starting in Nature this week. In 'Lifelines',
working scientists are challenged to summarize themselves in the form of a title
of a Nature paper, name their principal influences, favourite music, books
and places. Revealing stuff, though their favourite colour will remain their secret.
Daniel Pauly of the University of British Columbia is first in the spotlight.
