Atomic structure: Neutron holography

Atomic-resolution holography using electromagnetic radiation (X-rays, g-rays and electrons) has become a reality, and now neutron holography can be added to the list. An advantage of neutrons is their sensitivity to hydrogen, making them ideal probes for biological structures and polymers. This sensitivity is demonstrated by creating a holographic reconstruction for the oxide mineral simpsonite, which contains oxygen planes above and below a single hydrogen atom.
