Walk on the wild side

If it's still live, there's a YouTube clip (on http://tinyurl.com/2ac87n) that says it all. Inspired by the BBC's classic Walking with Dinosaurs TV series, palaeontologist Ken Lacovara and a host of specialists have created a live version of the show complete with life-like dinosaurs roaming the stage. As Brendan Maher reports, it is hugely entertaining. But Homo sapiens didn't walk with or even run away from the dinosaurs. Which raises the question: can 'infotainment' like this do anything more than entertain? Can it stimulate a new generation of scientists?
