Florida courts German life-sciences institute

Germany's Max Planck Society is to open its first non-European institute in Florida. On 11 September, the state's Palm Beach County commission voted to spend $87 million over the next 10 years building a Max Planck Institute adjacent to the planned site of Scripps Florida on the Jupiter campus of Florida Atlantic University.
