Novel neurotrophic factor CDNF protects and rescues midbrain dopamine neurons in vivo
In Parkinson|[rsquo]|s disease, brain dopamine neurons degenerate most prominently in the substantia nigra. Neurotrophic factors promote survival, differentiation and maintenance of neurons in developing and adult vertebrate nervous system.
