As we approach 2009, the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of On the Origin of Species, we can expect the current flood of books on Darwin, darwiniana and evolution to become a deluge. So it is hardly surprising that more than one publisher has hit on the idea of producing commemorative volumes from Darwin's oeuvre.
