Abstract
A protest by Chinese graduate students at Yale University has revealed the plight of a vulnerable workforce in US labs. Geoff Brumfiel investigates.
Last month, Xuemei Han was at her wit's end. A second-year graduate student in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University, she was facing expulsion.
