Abstract
Mexican scientists now have the skills and technology to study their backlog of ancient bones. As this treasure trove begins to yield its secrets, Rex Dalton finds local scientists hoping to unravel the mysteries of the earliest settlers of America.
Deep in the jungle of Mexico's Yucatán peninsula, away from the flocks of tourists at the Mayan pyramids and temples, a water-filled cavern is giving local scientists a glimpse much further back in time.Within this vine-draped sinkhole, a long passageway leads to a near-complete skeleton.
